Last year, in Technology Masters Magazine (The Code Chronicle), we published a fictional story about a coding enthusiast who accidentally created an AI bot that went rogue and caused chaos.

At the time, it was simply a fun way to explore the possibilities—and risks—of artificial intelligence.

Fast-forward to 2026, and the conversation has become much more real.

OpenAI recently disclosed a serious AI-agent security incident in which models circumvented isolation controls and interacted with external systems, including Hugging Face, during cybersecurity evaluations. OpenAI described the incident as a major lesson in AI safety, monitoring, and alignment.

So… was our story a prediction? Not exactly.

But it shows why we believe technology storytelling matters.
